See the 8K time-lapse power of the 45.7-megapixel Nikon D850 DSLR

 

 

The new Nikon D850 has turned a lot of heads for its wide array of features. One of the new features is its 8K time-lapse mode. While it doesn't compile an 8K time-lapse in camera like it does a 4K UHD time-lapse, the camera is equipped with interval shooting modes to create epic 8K time-lapse videos.

Nature photographer Marsel van Oosten took the Nikon D850 to Namibia and Botswana and captured glorious 8K still images to create the beautiful 4K time-lapse video seen below, "Hercules Rising." The video was downsampled to 4K from the 8K stills for the purpose of sharing it on social media and YouTube.

Shortly after announcing the Nikon D850, Nikon also published a "First Impressions" video with van Oosten, which you can see below.
