Large format photography in Zion National Park

 

 

Photographer Ben Horne does a lot of traveling for his large format photography, but there are some locations he continues to visit year after year. One of those places is Zion and in the video below, we get to see Horne's first day at Zion this fall. Visiting Zion is like visiting a friend. Catching up, hearing stories about the old days and seeing how we both have changed," Horne says.

Visiting the same place year after year gives Horne a distinct opportunity to see precisely how he has changed and grown with time, being able to compare shots of the same place from different years. That doesn't mean he went to Zion with specific shots in mind, however, as he wants to go in with an open-mind and not be locked down by any preconceived notions of what he should shoot while visiting.
