5 simple ways to remove pimples and zits in Photoshop

No matter what camp you fall in when it comes to how far portrait retouching should extend, it nearly always makes sense to remove temporary blemishes from someone's skin. Everyone wants to see themselves at their best and removing pimples and zits is a simple step toward that result.
In a new video, Aaron Nace of Phlearn shows us five ways to remove pimples quickly and easily in Photoshop. Before we get to the blemishes themselves, Nace shows how to reduce overall redness in a person's skin. All you need to do is create a new hue/saturation adjustment layer and target the specific reds. As you can see in the video below, we want to fine-tune our color selection a bit before increasing the "lightness" and then "saturation." After this, we adjust the color hue to make it closer to the surrounding skin color. As you can see, this changes the color of the lips and mouth as well; a simple layer mask will solve this issue.
