For photographers, color is one of the most important aspects of an image (unless, of course, you're shooting black and white). How do you ensure that you have the right color balance in your images? Over at The Slanted Lens, Jay P. Morgan has a new video all about the Datacolor SpyderCUBE. The SpyderCUBE is a $50 calibration tool that not only helps you dial in your color balance, but it also helps you correctly expose your images and get the perfect black point.
All you need to do is place the SpyderCUBE in the first frame or two of your shoot (or the first frame or two anytime your lighting conditions change) and then utilize the data that the cube captures when post-processing your images. Morgan breaks down the device below and how to use the captured images to balance your color when editing your photos. It's very nifty!
If you'd like to purchase a SpyderCUBE of your own, head on over to B&H.
