Nikon Storytellers Scholarship application period now open, 10 $10k scholarships available to students

As part of Nikon's 100th anniversary celebration, the company announced a $100,000 scholarship program. The "Nikon Storytellers Scholarship" will award $10,000 academic scholarships to 10 individuals and the application period for the award is now officially open.
Nikon's Director of Marketing, Communications and Planning Kosuke Kawaura says of the scholarship, "As we reflect on a remarkable and exciting 100 years of imaging excellence, Nikon must also look to the future and continue to push the boundaries of creative expression and technological innovation. The Nikon Storytellers Scholarship encapsulates our brand's commitment to supporting students as they strive to ignite passion and inspire change as future visual content creators."
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in the United States or Canada pursuing a degree in visual arts, fine arts, journalism, film, photography or multimedia/content creation and have completed the academic equivalent of your freshman year. The application period is open until March 1, 2018 and on March 12, semi-finalists will be selected. There will be a second deadline for the semi-finalists on March 30 and then the 10 winners will be selected in June.
