Photoshop's clone stamp tool is lauded by some as being an incredibly useful tool for editing your images. Others find it to be clunky and difficult to use. Blake Rudis is in the former camp. He's utilized it as part of many of his video tutorials, which can be found here, but had never made a video just about the clone stamp tool itself.
In the video below, Rudis discusses his tips for utilizing the clone stamp. His first tip is to keep it simple. A soft brush with simple settings and modes is the way to go. There are many ways to customize how the tool works, but Rudis thinks sticking with the basics is your best bet. His second tip is to do all your cloning on a new layer.
