For the second week in a row, our Firmware Friday roundup is short and sweet, with few new updates arriving and relatively little to discuss over the last seven days. In all, we have news of updates for the Leica SL (Typ 601), Panasonic AU-EVA1 and the Sony AXS-R7 (this last being an accessory for the Sony F5 and F55 CineAlta video cameras).
Let's cut short any further preamble, and get right down to the meat of what's new!
Leica SL (Typ 601)
With firmware version 3.1 for the Leica SL (Typ 601), the German company has made improvents in two main areas: Autofocus and JPEG image quality. Specifically, AF speed and accuracy has been improved with the Summilux-SL 1:1.4/50 ASPH. lens, and color balance is said to have been improved "under certain light conditions".

Panasonic AU-EVA1
Panasonic's rather awkwardly-named version 1.12-00-0.00 firmware release for the AU-EVA1 video camera adds support for six new Sigma lens models in EF-mount form. Specifically, these are the Art-series 12-24mm F4 DG HSM, 24-70mm F2.8 DG OS HSM, 14mm F1.8 DG HSM, 30mm F1.4 DC HSM, 85mm F1.4 DG HSM and 135mm F1.8 DG HSM. It also resolves a rare issue which could cause incorrect aperture and zoom values to be displayed in some circumstances.

Sony AXS-R7
And finally for this week, we come to the Sony AXS-R7 4K external raw recorder accessory for the F5 and F55 video cameras. Here, firmware version 1.10 adds support for the new 6K-capable Sony Venice video camera. It also adds the software version to the information recorded in metadata for your videos.
