Landscape photographer Nigel Danson wants to help you improve your photo composition. It's an area of photography that many photographers struggle with. It's also one of the most important aspects of an image, so it's something everyone should always work to improve upon, no matter their skill level.
How do you come up with a good composition? It's a familiar feeling for a photographer to look at an image on their computer when they return home from shooting and think, "I should have moved a bit this way" or "I should have gotten closer to this." It's easier to see what would make an image better after the fact than it is to do it correctly in the field. It's important to slow down and consider your options when in the field. Of course, sometimes you don't have the time, but oftentimes you do have the freedom to slow down and carefully consider your scene. You want to evaluate the frame from front to back and ensure that each area of your frame is doing work for you.
