Leica loves special editions and their latest is one of their sleekest yet. The Leica M Monochrom (Typ 246) was announced back in 2015 and it is a unique camera due to its monochrome full-frame CCD sensor. It seems fitting, then, that the newest version of the Typ 246 would be decked out in nearly all black.

The new limited Stealth Edition has been designed by Marcus Wainwright, who is the CEO, founder and creative director for the New York-based fashion brand, rag & bone. The special Typ 246 and included Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH lens is limited to just 125 sets worldwide. Wainwright himself is a longtime Leica enthusiast and a particular fan of black and white photography.

Turning our attention to the camera itself, the Stealth Monochrom has a matte black coating and glow-in-the-dark accents. Of its look, Wainwright says, "For me the Leica M system personifies the pursuit of perfection in an object designed for a singular purpose. Inspired by that, I was aiming to try and further refine and perfect the M Monochrom - an almost impossible task - by distilling it to its purest form and highlighting the stealth nature of the camera and lens."

The Leica Monochrom Stealth Edition will be on sale beginning on March 20 for the very premium price of $15,750. In case you're curious, the regular camera costs $7,550 and the lens costs $3,195.
