Elinchrom has announced the ELB 500 TTL portable light, their most powerful portable light ever. The battery pack and light combine for 500Ws of power and advanced features such as TTL metering, high speed sync, active charging and built-in Skyport.

The ELB 500 is designed for professional photographers on the move who desire simplicity without sacrificing power. The ELB 500 TTL works quickly thanks to its TTL and offers a "Manual Lock" mode which allows photographers to get a lock on exposure using TTL before switching to manual mode for additional control.

Regarding power, Elinchrom states that the ELB 500 can overpower the sun and has a recycling time of 2 seconds at max power. High-speed sync is available up to 1/8000s. To ensure you can keep shooting beyond the rated 400 shots, the ELB 500 offers shooting while charging.
