Simple ways to capture more creative outdoor photos

In his latest video, we join photographer Nigel Danson in a foggy forest to try to learn ways to mix up our outdoor photography. It's important to get the creative juices flowing and it doesn't need to be complicated to get creative nature shots.

Danson's first method for mixing up our photography is to create intentional camera movement. With a longer shutter speed, you can create some very interesting movement in a scene by moving your camera up and down or side to side. This works particularly well in a wooded environment. In Danson's case in the woods, he moves vertically and sets his camera to JPEG. He often shoots a lot of images when doing this kind of photography and he doesn't want to fill up card space with RAW files.
