The original Panasonic LX100 from 2014 broke new ground for a compact camera and proved exceedingly versatile, and today the company has at last unveiled the successor in the form of the Panasonic LX100 II.

Wrapped in a convenient size that can still slip comfortably in a coat or vest pocket, this latest incantation of the popular camera sports a new and improved grip and a few additional outward ergonomic changes. And yet the real heart of the upgrade comes on the inside, built around a new sensor with higher resolution and some enticing tricks up its sleeve.
