It’s not much, but Skylum Software has shared a new teaser video for their upcoming Luminar with Libraries update. Coming later this year to Mac and PC, the update to Luminar will be free to all current owners of Luminar 2018.
The update will make Luminar a full-fledged Lightroom competitor as it will introduce complete digital asset management and a full library organizational structure. It will mark the first time that Luminar has gone head-to-head against Adobe Lightroom in terms of photo organization in addition to photo editing.
In the video below, you can see a speed test of Luminar as it imports and allows for browsing of images. In the top right corner, we can see the new “library” tab and multiple browsing options, including all photos, recently added, recently edited, opened images, unflagged, flagged and starred. You will also be able to create albums and folders and it’s likely there will be numerous other ways for users to catalog and organize their photographs.
