How to easily color tone any photo in Photoshop using fill layers

Adjusting the colors in your image can dramatically change the emotion your photo evokes. There are many ways to tweak colors, but one particularly powerful method involves the use of Photoshop and fill layers. Through the use of fill layers, you can even finely tune how the color toning applies to highlights, midtones and shadows in your shot.
This technique is shown off in the video below by Aaron Nace of Phlearn. Basically, what you are doing is creating new fill layers, adjusting blending modes and if need be, utilizing selective editing techniques to locally apply color tones. It’s a simple process but it can have a dramatic effect on the overall look of your shots.
