How to capture better portraits with Sony Artisan Miguel Quiles

 

 

At this year’s Photo Plus Expo, Sony Artisan and portrait photographer Miguel Quiles took to the Sony Stage to deliver a presentation on how to improve your portrait photography. In the video below, Quiles discusses his portrait techniques and guides us through some steps we can take to improve our own portraits. Quiles also discusses some of his favorite Sony G and G Master lenses for portraits.

Quiles brought a model on stage and captured shots for the live audience, discussing different camera settings, how he sets his gear up and more. A big aspect of the presentation is discussing the different features of Sony cameras and lenses which have helped Quiles capture better portraits, including eye-detect autofocus, fast continuous shooting and the dynamic range of Sony sensors.
