The brush tool in Adobe Photoshop is very powerful. Aaron Nace of Phlearn is showing just how powerful it is by retouching a portrait from start to finish using only the brush tool.

Below, Nace uses the brush tool in Photoshop to perform blemish removal, skin retouching, dodging, burning and color correction. There are a lot of features and buttons in Photoshop and it can be overwhelming, but Nace wants to illustrate that even when you simplify the experience, Photoshop remains a very powerful tool. There are so many things you can do with only a handful of tools and there are many ways to achieve similarly great results. Obviously, the brush tool is not designed to be used for everything, but the idea behind Nace’s video is to challenge himself and showcase different ways you can use tools.
