The Nikon Z6 will become available for purchase on Friday November 16 at a very competitive price of $1999 for the body-only. Though we are still testing this camera and formulating our thoughts on it, if you're curious what you can expect from it, we recently published a large gallery of images that you can download and inspect. Nikon is positioning the Z6 as extremely good value product, featuring a full frame 24.5-megapixel-BSI CMOS sensor, wide ISO sensitivity range of 100–51,200, 12fps continuous shooting at full resolution, 5-axis in-camera vibration reduction technology, a 3.6m-Dot Quad VGA viewfinder and full-frame 4K UHD video capture with full pixel readout.
On paper, it strikes a good balance between image-taking capabilities and video capture functionality, and Nikon says that it "strikes the perfect balance of speed, optical performance and powerfully cinematic video features while maintaining the advantages of a lightweight mirrorless design." Additionally, citing the Z6 as an excellent "entry point" into the full frame mirrorless world, Nikon is offering $100 off the FTZ mount adapter when purchased alongside the new Nikon Z6 or Z7.
In addition, the Nikon Z6 will be available as a bundle starting this Friday, November 16 for the suggested retail price of $2,599 with the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens and $1,999 for the body only configuration. Below we've included links to each of the configurations along with the pricing from Adorama and B&H, which are just a few dollars below the SRP from Nikon (as is normal).
