Another couple of days in Zion with photographer Ben Horne showcases the power of scenes within scenes

 

 

Earlier this month, we went behind the scenes with large-format film photographer Ben Horne as he made his annual autumn trip to Zion National Park. It’s a location of great significance to Horne on both personal and professional levels, and his love for the beautiful nature shows through in his work and his video diaries.

Since sharing the video from his first day in Zion, Horne has published two more videos, highlighting his second and third days in Zion. His second day started with a pre-sunrise drive and hike and included some nice locations and even a trip into the air inside a small airplane. His third day also started early and included some smaller scenes. Horne is very good at finding scenes with scenes and identifying lovely textures and colors. As is often the case, during the course of both videos, he shares information on his camera and lens setup and discusses his choice of film stock.
