Nature photographer Morten Hilmer replaces his Nikon D5 with Nikon D850 and Z6 cameras

 

 

Nature and wildlife photographer Morten Hilmer spends a lot of his time out in the wilderness, in adverse conditions, photographing animals and landscapes. This means that his gear needs to be able to capture a lot of detail for a landscape, but also be able to shoot fast and capture action for when he is photographing wildlife. He often shoots with a Nikon D5, but he has since added a Nikon D850 and the new Nikon Z6 to his camera bag.

In the video below, Hilmer discusses why he has replaced his Nikon D5 with the D850 and Z6. Further, he discusses his experience with using the Z6 with an adapted Tamron 150-600mm G2 telephoto zoom lens.
