Behind the scenes with Joel Grimes as he creates a high-res beauty portrait with the Canon EOS R

Canon Explorer of Light Joel Grimes recently shot a portrait session with the new mirrorless Canon EOS R camera and adapted Canon tilt-shift lenses. In the video below, we get to go behind the scenes with Grimes as he shoots beauty portraits with the camera and processes photos for printing.

Grimes opted to use the Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8L Macro tilt-shift lens. He did so for three main reasons. When you tilt the lens down on the 30-megapixel EOS R and capture three images, the final stitch will be around 70 megapixels. The second reason is the 90mm focal length, which is a very nice focal length for portraiture. The third reason is the very shallow depth of field offered by the TS-E 90mm f/2.8 lens.
