Developing your own photographic style is no easy task. There are different ways to develop your own style, both when shooting in the field and when editing your images. In the video below, photographer Nigel Danson discusses the latter way you can make your images stand out. Specifically, Danson discusses how to develop your own photographic style within Adobe Lightroom.
To help illustrate the importance of developing a photographic style and how this can help you improve your photography, Danson looks at four photographers he admires: Rannva Joensen, Dan Tucker, Neil Burnell and Daryl Walker. The idea here is not to simply emulate someone else's style, but rather, identify different ways in which photographers help make their work stand out and figure out different ways you can use processing techniques to tell a stronger story through your own work.
