Though details are still quite limited, Panasonic has announced the development of the cinema-centric, video-focused LUMIX S1H, the third camera in their full-frame DSLM (digital single lens mirrorless) lineup. While the LUMIX S1 and S1R are both capable of outstanding video capture (with the S1R being the only DSLM capable of 4Kp60 uncropped on a full-frame sensor on the market at the time of publication), Panasonic wanted to develop a camera aimed specifically at the needs of filmmakers. The result is the S1H, a camera capable of 6K video capture, the first prosumer-level camera to offer such resolution.
The Panasonic LUMIX S1H will be exhibited under glass at the 2019 Cine Gear Expo in Los Angeles. For more information, please head over to our writeup of all available details regarding the S1H.
