Earlier this week and just in time for students heading back to school, Canon announced a quartet of new PIXMA printers. The PIXMA printers: the TS8320, TS6320, TS5320 and TS3320, are designed to easily handle homework, term papers and projects with convenient set-up and usability features.

Some of these new features include an easier set-up process than prior generations of the new PIXMA printer models. The TS6320 and TS5320 specifically also include an updated user interface and along with the PIXMA TS8320 offer built-in support via QR codes and include automatic paper width detection functionality. Of the new PIXMA printer series, president and chief operating officer of Canon U.S.A. Inc., said the following:

Canon remains steadfastly committed to listening to its customers’ needs as it produces new product offerings designed to integrate seamlessly into their lives. The launch of the newest PIXMA printer series emphasizes our continued commitment to delivering simplified solutions for a wide array of users.

Looking closer at the new printers, addressing the largest size first, the TS8320. This printer is designed to provide seamless smartphone compatibility via improved 5GHz Wi-Fi and features a large 4.3-inch touchscreen LCD, which allows users to view printer status, configure settings and navigate menu options. As is the case with the other new PIXMA printers, the 8320 offers simple 2-step wireless setup and reduced installation time compared to prior generations. In fact, setup and installation time has been reduced by approximately 13 minutes. Further, along with the 6320 and 5320 printers, the TS8320 also includes built-in QR support codes. If you need to troubleshoot your printer, you can scan the QR code with your phone to get immediate support. It is also worth noting for photographers in particular that the TS8320 and TS6320 printers have individual ink tanks. The TS8320 has six colors and the TS6320 has five.

The printers incorporate an improved FINE cartridge system with new dye color for improved photo printing on Photo Paper Plus Glossy II papers. The duo is also compatible with the Canon PRINT Inkjet/CELPHIS (CPIS) app and Easy-PhotoPrint Editor app. Plus, as mentioned earlier, the TS8320, 6320 and 5320 feature auto paper width detection.

Finally, the smallest printer in the bunch, the TS3320. This printer is designed to offer a streamlined user experience and thus incorporates a wireless connect buttons, which makes the set-up process even easier.
