In the coming months, ON1 will be offering an integrated line of photo and video editing products to its customers, including the next major release of ON1 Photo RAW 2020, a new video editing solution and a mobile photography application.

Looking first at ON1 Photo RAW 2020, this pro-oriented photo organizer, raw processor, layered editor and effects application will be available this fall. Primary new features include the integration of artificial intelligence, which will be utilized within new AI Match and AI Auto features. The software will also include four new filters when using "Effects," including weather, sun flare, color balance and channel mixer.

Additional features include custom X-Rite camera profile and SmugMug integration, improved noise reduction, a new map view, a dedicated print module and overall speed/performance enhancements. ON1 is also updating the entire preset library and adding new looks and styles. For the first time, ON1 Photo RAW will be available in 11 languages, including English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Portuguese, Italian and Dutch. For users looking to try the software before its release this fall, there will be a public beta in mid-September. Around this time, full details on the release date and pricing for the software will also be announced.

In addition to ON1 Photo RAW 2020, ON1 has also announced a new ON1 Photo Mobile 2020 application for compatible iOS and Android devices. This app will allow you to capture raw photos on your smartphone using controls inspired by pro-level dedicated cameras. The app will include photo editing tools for color and tone, shadows, object removal, filters and more. To coincide with the new app, ON1 is releasing ON1 Sync, an add-on service which will allow you to wirelessly send raw files from ON1 Photo Mobile to ON1 Photo RAW on your desktop or mobile device, including syncing non-destructive edits between the two applications. ON1 Sync will also allow you to sync albums, presets and more between devices and access images from anywhere, whether they are stored on your computer, an external hard drive or "any of the popular cloud services." ON1 Sync will release in early 2020 as an optional service alongside ON1 Photo Mobile.

ON1 has also announced ON1 Video 2020. This new video editing app has been designed from the ground up for photographers, meaning that you will not need to learn video-specific terminology in order to understand the software and make meaningful edits to your video files. ON1 Video is designed to be simple, yet capable, and will allow trimming, enhancing, adding audio tracks, color grading and video exporting via tools, adjustment sliders and more. The software will also feature integrated time-lapse video and slideshow tools, plus seamless integration with ON1 Photo RAW 2020. A public beta for ON1 Video will be available in mid-November with full release expected in early 2020. Pricing information will be disclosed at a later date.

Looking toward the future, ON1 has also reiterated its focus on providing an open system offering photographers control over their images and their workflows. ON1's upcoming software will continue to be offered with perpetual licenses and subscription options, with the company promising never to force its customers into a subscription model. Further, with new AI technologies being integrated into ON1 Photo RAW 2020, the company has stated that it is continuing to develop new AI technologies and tools, with a specific focus on removing "pain points" from your photo editing workflow, including new organization tools, sky replacement options, object recognition, color enhancements and skin retouching.
