Adobe has announced Photoshop Elements 2020 and Premiere Elements 2020, the latest versions of the easy-to-use photo and video editing software. Leveraging the latest Adobe Sensei artificial intelligence technology, Photoshop and Premiere Elements 2020 are faster and simpler to use than ever before. Let's take a closer look at each new version in turn, starting with Photoshop Elements 2020.

Photoshop Elements 2020 includes a variety of new features and improvements, including four primary new technologies which rely upon Adobe Sensei. One of these technologies is a new automatic colorizing feature, which allows you to turn black and white files into color photos with a single click. Another one-click feature is new AI-powered subject selection, which allows for selective editing and easy cut-outs. A new skin smoothing function also relies upon Adobe Sensei, as do the new "Auto Creations" options, including black and white selection, pattern brush, painterly, simulated depth of field and more.

To ensure that Photoshop Elements 2020 is easy to use for photographers and editors of all levels, Elements includes guided edits, which go through popular edits step-by-step. Photoshop Elements 2020 includes the previous 55 Guided Edits, plus two new ones. The first shows you how to use the built-in tools to remove unwanted and distracting elements, such as powerlines, pedestrians and more. The second guides you through adding photo patterns to your image, such as brushed on sparkles, hearts and more.

The new Select Subject feature in Photoshop Elements 2020 allows for easy subject selection thanks to automatic subject recognition.

Photoshop Elements 2020 is available now for $100 USD, although existing users can upgrade for $80. For more information on Photoshop Elements 2020, click here

Looking now at Adobe Premiere Elements 2020, there are two new features powered by Adobe Sensei. The first is automatic Smart Tags, which auto-tag your video files based on subject matter, such as sunsets, birthdays, dogs, cats and more. The second is automatic face tagging, which identifies the subject and stacks them for easy finding later.

Additional features in Premiere Elements 2020 include a new Reduce Noise effect, improved installation and overall performance, HEIF and HEVC file support and Guided Edits.
