Kodak SLICE offers touchscreen control
23:54 EST - Eastman Kodak Co. unveiled a new digital camera with a touchscreen display for the Consumer Electronics Show, in the form of the Kodak SLICE. The SLICE digital camera is based around the combination of a 14 megapixel CCD image sensor, and a Schneider-Kreuznach branded 5x optical zoom lens. The Kodak SLICE includes true optical image stabilization, and apertures range from F4.8 at wide angle to F5.2 at telephoto. Kodak: Six new digicams
23:53 EST - Alongside its snappily-named SLICE touchscreen digicam, Eastman Kodak Co. unveiled six other digital cameras at the Consumer Electronics Show, although only four were documented with press releases. The Kodak EasyShare M530, M550, M575 and M580 were all covered by a joint press release, while the Kodak EasyShare C142 and Z981 were quietly added to Kodak's site without being mentioned in the company's PR materials.
