Canon T6 Optics
The Canon T6 ships with the same kit lens as the T5, the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II, which performed quite well for a kit lens. Since we've already fully tested that lens, please refer to our Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS II review. We do however present Canon T6 viewfinder accuracy test results below.
Viewfinder Test Results
Accuracy
Fair accuracy from the optical viewfinder, but excellent from the LCD in Live View mode.
70mm, Optical | 70mm, LCD Live View |
The Canon T6's optical viewfinder accuracy is fair, providing about 95% coverage along with minor vertical and horizontal offsets and even a bit of tilt, which is about par for an entry-level DSLR. Live View mode accuracy using the LCD monitor to frame is excellent, though, with essentially 100% coverage and of course no offset or tilt.
