Imaging Resource launches new logo and design

Founded by Dave Etchells in 1998, Imaging Resource is the oldest independent camera review and photo news publication on the Internet. Since our founding, we've brought consistent, reliable information founded on rigorous testing to our broad audience of readers. We feel strongly that we have the highest-quality and most authoritative camera reviews on the web, but felt our 'vintage' design didn't match the quality and breadth of our content. - So we embarked on a redesign process to develop a new logo and site identity; here's the new logo that resulted...
We wanted a logo that suggested photography without calling on corny graphics of cameras, tripods or aperture blades. Merging our initials, the new logo subtly evokes the image of a person taking a photo; we really like this new little "IR guy," and hope you do, too. The association is subtle, but clearly recognizable to the initiated.
You might also have noticed that we've made some changes on our homepage, and rolled out the new logo across the site and to our social media properties. We'll be redesigning all the pages on the site in line with the new identity over the next few months, so stay tuned, and let us know what you think in the comments below. (Also, watch for the "first draft" of a major new site feature by the middle of next week! ;-)
