Despite its bright f/2 aperture and weather-sealing that protects it from dust, moisture and freezing tempertures, Fujifilm's new Fujinon XF 35mm f/2 R WR lens is nevertheless super compact and super affordable, making it a fantastic option for professionals and beginners alike. We've just now put the finishing touches on our full SLRgear review on the new Fuji 35mm f/2, and the results are fantastic.

Sharpness is excellent, even wide-open, and CA and distortion are of little concern. The build qualty is equally impressive. Despite its APS-C format and wide f/2.0 aperture, the lens is very small and compact yet remains solid with a high quality feel. Combined with weather sealing, this little Fuji prime is a sweet option for the Fuji shooters looking for a lightweight street-shooting wide angle prime or compact travel lens. This new prime is the latest in Fuji's long-standing history of excellent lenses, and while some certainly carry a higher price tag, this little weather-sealed gem comes in at only around $400 -- a fantastic value.

Hop over to SLRgear for all the details of our in-depth Fuji 35mm f/2 WR lens review, which includes our standard array of testing results and graphs as well as handling notes and lab sample images. For a look at real-world images shot with this lens, Dave Pardue last month paired it with the Fuji X-T10 -- a pretty stellar combo, we must admit. Here you can see a few resized sample images, but for the full-resolution versions, head over to the Fuji X-T10 Gallery Page and look for images with "35MM" in the filenames.

With a bright f/2 aperture, the Fuji is great for low-light shooting.
