Introduced back at Photokina 2016 alongside the OM-D E-M1 Mark II, Olympus debuted a new member of their Zuiko Pro family of professional-grade lenses, the 12-100mm f/4 IS Pro. While they also offer a pair of f/2.8 zooms, the 12-40mm and 40-150mm Pro lenses, this all-in-one alternative offers a highly versatile 24-200mm-equivalent range for those photographers looking for a simplified, single-lens solution yet demanding high-quality performance. The 12-100mm f/4 is also the second Zuiko Pro lens to include built-in optical image stabilization, and as always, it features their characteristically-rugged weather-sealed construction.
As you may already know, we published a Hands-On Look at this lens back in November 2016. Based on this real-world test, as well as putting a copy of the lens to the test during our Olympus E-M1 Mark II Field Test, we had very high hopes once this lens hit our testing lab. So, does the Olympus 12-100mm f/4 IS Pro hit the high marks alongside their other Zuiko Pro lenses? Read on to find out…
