We really, really enjoyed the Fuji X-T3. The combination of cool styling and rugged build quality as well as all-around excellent image quality and responsive performance made the X-T3 a thoroughly impressive camera. To us, it hit the sweet spot of top-notch performance, ruggedness, image quality, and price point to make it our pick for Best Camera of 2018. However, for those not wanting to shell out at $1500 for a camera body (and more with a kit), nor those truly needing that enthusiast-to-pro-level performance or weather-sealed construction, the compact Fujifilm X-T30 is here to answer the call for a high-quality mirrorless camera that won't break the bank.

Offering the same imaging pipeline as the X-T3, the smaller, lighter and more affordable Fuji X-T30 offers the same impressive image quality as its pricier sibling. What's more, the camera also uses the same high-performance 425-point hybrid AF system as the X-T3, and also offers swift (though not as fast) continuous burst shooting speeds at up to 8fps with its mechanical shutter.

We've just completed our in-depth Fuji X-T30 review, and all told, it's an all-around fantastic APS-C mirrorless camera. It provides photographers with a very similar level of quality and performance that they would find on the higher-end X-T3 yet inside a smaller, easier to carry, and more affordable camera. And yet it's one that still maintains that characteristic Fujifilm charm and style. And for video creators, the X-T30 offers quite a lot of features for the money as well.
