Welcome to
the Imaging Resource's coverage of
the annual Photo Marketing
Association's Spring show, held as
usual in Las Vegas, Nevada! Once
again we're covering the show
live, with plenty to keep you
interested, no matter whether you're
a consumer, enthusiast or a pro
photographer. As usual, there's been
a ramp of announcements in the run-up
to the show - new SLRs (Canon's
EOS-1D Mark II, Fujifilm's S3 Pro,
and Nikon's D70), new consumer
cameras (Canon, Casio, Fujifilm,
Kodak, Nikon, and Pentax for
starters), plus new printers, lenses,
batteries, accessories and more.
Don't think that's all though - there
are so many announcements of interest
around PMA that companies spread
their press releases and product
debuts over a wide period in an
attempt not to get lost in the flood.
We're sure that as many announcements
as there have been already, there are
going to be a whole lot more once the
show kicks off. Even before the show
starts, we're expecting to see yet
more announcements coinciding with
the Sneak Peek and Digital Focus
press events, where manufacturers can
meet with journalists away from the
show floor. All in all, this promises
to be a very exciting year for
digital imaging, and possibly the
most interesting PMA show yet!
We'll have plenty of live coverage
over the coming days as the show
really kicks into gear, and you too,
can participate in our forums,
where you can discuss the
announcements and just what they
mean!
The show itself runs from Thursday
February 12th to Sunday February 15th
- and this year we've got four
IR staff members roaming the show
floor hunting down all the latest
news for the entire duration. Want to
know more of what to expect? You can
find a full list of
exhibitors on the PMA website...
Stay tuned for a very interesting
show week!
